Vic Gregoire  will be running his game:  The Battle for Kursk/Engagement at Ponyri Station  July 5th, 1943, 0900 hours ("Elephant Hunting")
Situation: The 9th Army's attack on the Kursk bulge from the north jumped off on the morning of July 6th, five of the six panzer divisions available in the north were initially in reserve, so most of the heavy lifting of breaking the front fell to the infantry divisions, usually reinforced with army-level independant armored units. On the left side of the main effort, the German 86th Infantry Division, reinforced with a battalion of the new Elephant tank destoryers, drove south along the rail line to Ponyri Station, and Kursk. Waiting for them were the elements of the 81st Rifle Division, and as the battle unfolded, additional Soviet tanks and assault guns were fed in.
"Command Decision IV-Test of Battle" rules in 1/72nd scale. No prior rule experience necessary-very player friendly game.
Notes: This will be a big game players should plan to commit from an apporximate  10:AM start time and possibly going until 5PM.
